Review : Marie Veronique Organics Cleanser

Product Description
Everyday clean skin that gets softer and smoother with every wash. It gets rid of dirt, grime, sunscreen, and makeup. Uses very mild sudsing agents to remove accumulated grime, excess dead skin cells, makeup, and sunscreen—without stripping or irritating the skin.

I am pleased to finally able to lay my hands on Marie Veronique Organics Travel Kit through a spree.
Marie Veronique Organics is a brand that is based in California with products that do not contain toxic ingredients, harmful chemicals, artificial agents and preservative.

The first product I use was this cleanser, as I have been looking out for a gentle cleanser during that period. It does not contain toxic preservatives, harsh sudsing agents, alcohol, detergents, or synthetic fragrances. There are no waxes which can clog pores, no water which can evaporate and dry out your skin, and no nut oils which can go rancid with UV exposure. Cleanser is 100% vegan, and the
ingredients include green and white tea, aloe vera, jojoba oil, geranium essential oil, polyglucose, palmarosa essential oil and vetiver.

It certainly live up to its name for being a gentle cleanser. I prefer to use it in the mornings, just to cleanse away all the oil and grime accumulated through the night, as compared with using it in the
evening where there are make-up and more bacteria accumulated during the day out of the house.

The travel kit size of 30ml comes in an opaque brown apothecary-esque glass bottle that dispenses the lightweight gel-like contents with some shaking required. Being opaque and brown, the glass bottle actually helps to preserve the freshness of the contents.

The gel is very light and thin with a fluffy and almost liquid texture that almost disappears into nothing as you lather onto the face because it does not foam. I was almost afraid that it does nothing to cleanse away the grime hence I tend to pick up more to cleanse my face.

The colour is of light brown, with a herbal scent that required some getting used-to. It is said to be able to cleanse skin and remove make-up, dirt and oil in a gentle way.

It is not recommended to be used to remove make-up as I have tried it once and some remnants of my highlighter is still apparent on my cheeks.

The full retail size costs US$32 for a 120ml which I have already ordered.

Funnily, the 2nd bottle which I ordered last year made my skin tingly. There is a minty sensation near my lips and chin area and although there is no redness or itchiness, the sensation is certainly not welcome. After almost 5/6 of the contents being used up, the tingly and minty sensation disappears.
