Astalift is a Japanese skincare brand from Fujifilm which comes as a surprise to most people. It has slowly becoming more popular and reputable as a skincare and beauty brand throughout Asia and Europe. And apparently, the technologies used in Astalift are based on Fujifilm's findings from its research on collagen, antioxidant and nanotechnology cultivated in the development and manufacturing of photographic film for over 75 years.

Lycopene, another powerful antioxidant is now added to their rejuvenated version of Astalift, on top of their key ingredient, Astaxanthin. It triples the power of Astalift's anti-aging benefits where the addition of Lycopene promotes the natural production of antioxidants in human skin cells.

I received a 12g of the Astalift Cleansing Gel earlier this month where it comes as part of a Astalift Goodie Bag from SimplyHer magazine. It has enabled me to use it for the past several evenings. I was surprised that the cleansing gel did not irritate my skin, as what most cleansers do.

I have been wanting to try Astalift for the longest time, especially their bestseller, Astalift Jelly Aquarysta but somehow, I never seem to really get close to purchasing it. So, I was happy to get a chance to try out their cleansing gel.

Astalift Cleansing Gel is said to be able to remove make-up but I mainly use it as a cleanser, after removing my make-up with Bioderma Sensibo H20 Micellar Solution or on days without make-up.

It has a very subtle floral scent which is hardly discerning. Personally, I think Astalift Cleansing Gel works better on dry skin, where you add some water to emulsify the gel on skin to create slight foam for massaging action.
