White with a pearly sheen, the shampoo has a fruity scent and lathers very well, much more than other SLS-free shampoos. It cleanses well but my hair was tangled immediately after washing. Some time is required for the damp hair to dry out slightly before a comb can goes through it.
Note that my long tresses tend to tangle up easily but this shampoo seems to make it worse. I usually don't bother to comb my hair when its very wet as that is when the hair is at its weakest so the tangle part is not as big an issue to me, as compared to others.
Giovanni Smooth As Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner has a light scent and is white with a creamy texture. It smoothens the hair strands but seems to make my hair more frizzy. I usually apply the conditioner from the middle to the ends of my hair.
Both the shampoo and conditioner came in the same flick-top clear container where the contents were dispensed easily without much messiness.
The whole package of using both the shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling clean, smooth and soft, but with more frizziness than expected. And when my hair was wet, they were more tangled-up than usual.
