With all these in mind, I was intrigued to pick up a product while vacationing in Sydney/Melbourne sometime back. In need of an exfoliator then, Sanctum Gentle Face Exfoliant comes to my mind and I promptly paid for it in one of the pharmacies in their shopping malls.

"Gentle" can sometimes be a ban or a boon, on my skin. It can either be too mild to be effective or too abrasive to be considered as gentle. In this case, it is the latter.

This product took me by surprise because even though it has a creamy form which is supposed to "lessen" the abrasion of the exfoliating process, it does not. Sanctum Gentle Face Exfoliant is more abrasive than expected, I was almost afraid to "tear" my skin during the face scrubbing process.

It took me a long while to finish it, because I was reluctant to use it twice a week, seeing how abrasive it was. The scent is very natural and non-artificial which I like. My face is also much smoother and masking thereafter makes it an excellent choice, after I got rid of all the dead cells.

With time, I kind of get used to the abrasive nature and scrub my face gently whenever I am using it. That said, I do think the name is certainly misleading.
