Review : Edible Beauty No. 1 Belle Fracais Cleansing Milk

Product Description
Edible Beauty No. 1 Belle Fracais Cleansing Milk is made with coconut oil to gently wash away makeup. It also contains fruit extracts and essential oils to minimize the appearance of spots and fine lines. One wash using this rejuvenating milk and see your skin freshen up

Botanical Actives
  • Coconut Oil is an abundant source of fatty acids that are uniquely formed to deeply moisturize, hydrate, and condition the skin. Rich in polyphenols and vitamins A, C and E, coconut oil is a potent anti-ageing nutrient promoting collagen production and deeply penetrating the skin to promote lasting hydration. Coconut oil anti-microbial properties make it effective in purifying the skin and in the treatment of acne breakouts.
  • Apple Extract contains alpha hydroxy acid which helps to even out pigmentation, combat skin eruptions, unclog and refine pores and assists in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Wattleseed Extract comes from the Acacia tree native to Australia, with cleansing, pore refining and anti-inflammatory properties. It contains high levels of amino acids (proteins), which promote youthful looking skin. Rich in gallic acid, it has powerful antioxidant properties and encourages elasticity and supple skin.
  • Zizyphus also known as Jujube, contains restoring nutrients, which assist in providing intense moisture, nourishment and protection to the skin. It has also been shown to encourage cell turnover, improve elasticity and firmness of skin, and reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

I purchased Edible Beauty On The Fly Travel Kit late last year which consists of 4 products -
No. 1 : Belle Frais Cleansing Milk
No. 2 : Citrus Rhapsody Radiance Mist
No. 3 : Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum
No. 4 : Vanilla Silk Hydrating Lotion

It was simply love at first use the moment I tried Belle Fracais Cleansing Milk. I have so much love for the product - the uplifting scent, the milky texture and the nourishing sensation after each cleanse.

The travel kit is such a great way to try out the products before investing in the full sizes. And this cleansing milk is on my to-buy list, for sure.

Some may think that the cleansing milk is pretty weak and mild but for my dehydrated and sensitive skin, the cleansing milk was a pampering treat with no squeak clean feeling. It actually makes me look forward to using it every night. I started off with using this as a nightly ritual and move on to using it day/night.

Edible Beauty, an organic skincare brand from Australia, is a non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free skincare which is also free of the usual nasties - sulphates, parabens, phthalates, benzyl alcohol, fragrances, propylene glycol, all preservatives, colours, synthetics and any ingredient that you would not recognise or find in your food. Every ingredient in their products is pure and botanical, and good enough to eat.

Their products are packaged in recyclable dark violet glass chosen for its unique ability to preserve the integrity of natural products and extend their shelf life. The secret of this special glass is that it blocks the complete spectrum of visible light with the exception of violet light and UVA light. This unique combination offers protection against the ageing and oxidation caused by visible light, which lengthens the life of our pure botanical ingredients and increases their vibrational energy. Interestingly violet light shows the highest vibrational frequency of all colours, corresponding exactly to the vibrational frequency of our central nervous system.

However, as much as I like clean beauty products stored in glass, it makes storing them in bathroom a careful affair. One of my family members broke the cleanser bottle during shifting of products and the shreds of glass within the cleansing milk can be a thorny issue.

Moving past that, I have nothing but full of praises for the Belle Fracais Cleansing Milk. Said to get rid of toxins, protect skin moisture balance, reduce pigmentation and lines, restores skin radiance, refines pores and supports elasticity, the soothing milky emulsion has an uplifting and refreshing smell of Melon and essential oils of Orange and Lime that makes the whole cleansing experience a notch up as compared to other cleansers. It just smells so good and I can't get enough of it.

To use :
Massage on dry skin to dissolve make-up and impurities. Add water to create a luxurious milky fluid. Remove with tepid water or warm washcloth and follow with Citrus Rhapsody Toner Mist.

I can't comment how effective the cleansing milk is, in removing make-up as I use it purely as a cleanser, after removing my make-up with a separate make-up remover.

That said, using the cleanser has made my skin softer, smoother, nourished and less dry. I don't see a particular difference to the pigmentation spots on my cheeks though, which I don't expect to, since a cleanser is only on my skin for a short period of time. But as cleanser, it is an effective product for my skin, with a lovely cleansing experience in scent and texture.

This is an holy grail facial cleanser which I would repurchase. Have you tried this product? If so, leave a comment. I will love to hear how the product fare for you.
